Site Civil Engineer

About the Role

Our client is looking for a dedicated Site Civil Engineer to oversee construction projects in the Upington area. This hands-on role involves ensuring that civil engineering works on-site are executed according to design specifications, safety protocols, and project timelines. You will be the primary point of contact for construction crews, managing daily operations and quality control. This is an excellent opportunity for a practical and detail-oriented engineer to gain significant site experience and contribute to the successful completion of important local projects in the Northern Cape .

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage day-to-day civil engineering activities on construction sites.
• Ensure strict adherence to engineering designs, drawings, and specifications.
• Implement and enforce health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies on site.
• Conduct quality control checks on materials and workmanship.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and the project management team.
• Prepare daily progress reports and address any site-related challenges promptly.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in site supervision and construction management.
• Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and site safety regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical documents.
• Strong leadership and problem-solving skills for managing site operations.
