Industrial Engineer - Lean Manufacturing Expert

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Industrial Engineer with a specialization in Lean Manufacturing to drive operational excellence across their various production facilities, working entirely remotely. This role is pivotal in fostering a culture of continuous improvement, eliminating waste, and optimizing processes to achieve maximum efficiency and productivity. You will be instrumental in designing and implementing lean strategies, training teams, and ensuring the successful adoption of lean principles. As a remote expert, you will guide and support on-site teams through virtual collaboration and detailed analysis, making a substantial impact on the company's bottom line.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of lean manufacturing initiatives across all relevant operational areas.
• Develop and execute strategies to identify and eliminate waste (muda) in all forms (e.g., overproduction, waiting, transport).
• Conduct value stream mapping, 5S implementation, Kaizen events, and other lean tools deployment.
• Provide training and coaching to site teams on lean principles and methodologies.
• Analyze production data and workflows to identify opportunities for efficiency gains and cost reduction.
• Facilitate cross-functional teams in problem-solving and continuous improvement activities, ensuring successful project completion.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in industrial engineering , with a significant focus on lean manufacturing implementation.
• Expertise in implementing and sustaining lean tools and methodologies (e.g., Kanban, Poka-Yoke, SMED).
• Proven track record of driving measurable improvements in productivity, quality, and cost reduction.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Excellent remote communication, facilitation, and training abilities to effectively engage with distributed teams.
