About the Role

Our client, a leading sports and entertainment complex in Klerksdorp , is seeking a seasoned and proactive Sports Facility Operations Manager . This critical role involves overseeing the day-to-day management of all sports facilities, ensuring they are safe, well-maintained, and operational for a variety of events and activities. You will be responsible for managing budgets, coordinating maintenance, supervising operational staff, and ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations. The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and a deep understanding of facility management principles within the sports industry. Key Responsibilities

• Manage the operations, maintenance, and security of all sports facilities, including fields, courts, and indoor arenas.
• Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Oversee a team of facility attendants, maintenance staff, and event support personnel.
• Manage departmental budgets, including forecasting, expense tracking, and resource allocation.
• Coordinate with event organizers, sports leagues, and other stakeholders to meet facility requirements.
• Ensure all facilities meet health, safety, and accessibility standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Facility Management, Sports Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in sports facility management or operations.
• Proven experience in budget management, staff supervision, and contract negotiation.
• Strong understanding of facility maintenance, safety protocols, and event logistics.
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
