Aircraft Avionics Technician

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Aircraft Avionics Technician to join their maintenance team in Nelspruit . You will be responsible for the installation, inspection, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of aircraft communication, navigation, and electrical systems. This role requires a high level of technical expertise, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of avionics principles and aircraft systems. You will contribute to ensuring the airworthiness and operational readiness of the aircraft fleet.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, test, and troubleshoot avionics and electrical systems on various aircraft types.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on flight instruments, autopilots, radios, and other avionic equipment.
• Diagnose system malfunctions and perform repairs or component replacements according to technical manuals and regulatory standards.
• Interpret avionics schematics , wiring diagrams, and maintenance manuals to guide work.
• Ensure all work performed is accurately documented in the aircraft maintenance records.
• Calibrate avionics equipment to maintain optimal performance and accuracy.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Aircraft Avionics Technician .
• Proficiency with a variety of avionics test equipment and diagnostic tools.
• Strong understanding of aircraft electrical systems, communication, and navigation principles.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and engineering drawings.
• Relevant trade certification or qualification in avionics or aircraft maintenance.
• Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in Nelspruit .
