Logistics Supervisor - Regional Operations

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and organized Logistics Supervisor to oversee regional operations from their office in Polokwane . This hybrid role requires a leader who can manage a team, optimize transportation routes, and ensure the efficient flow of goods across the region. You will be responsible for coordinating logistics activities, managing carrier relationships, and implementing strategies to enhance service delivery and reduce costs. Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the logistics team, including dispatchers and drivers.
• Develop and implement efficient transportation and delivery schedules to meet operational demands.
• Monitor shipment progress, resolve logistical issues, and ensure timely delivery of goods in the Polokwane region.
• Manage relationships with external carriers and suppliers, negotiating contracts and ensuring service level agreements are met.
• Oversee the accurate preparation and processing of shipping documents and inventory records.
• Analyze logistics data to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, cost reduction, and service quality.

Requirements

• Proven experience in logistics supervision or a similar management role within the transportation industry.
• Strong understanding of supply chain management, warehousing, and transportation regulations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to manage tasks both remotely and from the office as required by the hybrid model.
• A bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is advantageous.
