Industrial Engineering Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking a strategic and results-oriented Industrial Engineering Manager to lead their engineering team in Pretoria . This leadership role is responsible for overseeing all industrial engineering functions, including process optimization, facility layout, and production planning. You will be instrumental in shaping the company's operational strategy, ensuring maximum efficiency and productivity across all manufacturing activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of industrial engineers and technicians.
• Develop and execute long-term strategic plans for operational efficiency and capacity expansion.
• Oversee the design and implementation of facility layouts , workflows, and material handling systems.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.
• Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for production and operational effectiveness.
• Manage project budgets and timelines for all industrial engineering projects.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in industrial engineering, with at least 3 years in a management or supervisory role.
• Extensive experience with Lean Manufacturing , Six Sigma (black belt certification preferred), and project management.
• Demonstrated success in leading teams and driving significant operational improvements.
• Expertise in production planning , scheduling, and capacity analysis.
• Strong strategic thinking and decision-making skills.
