Senior Smart Contract Engineer

About the Role

Our client is actively seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Smart Contract Engineer to join their globally distributed team. You will collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to bring innovative blockchain solutions to life, pushing the boundaries of what's possible in the decentralized web.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and deploy robust and secure smart contracts on blockchain platforms like Ethereum using Solidity.
• Optimize smart contract performance and gas efficiency for maximum scalability and cost-effectiveness.
• Collaborate with frontend and backend engineers to integrate smart contracts into user-facing applications and backend services.
• Conduct thorough security audits and code reviews of smart contracts to identify and mitigate potential vulnerabilities.
• Contribute to the design and architecture of decentralized applications (dApps) and protocols.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the team's knowledge sharing and best practices in smart contract development.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 2 years focused on smart contract development.
• Expertise in Solidity and experience with EVM-compatible blockchains.
• Strong understanding of blockchain concepts, cryptography, and token standards (e.g., ERC-20, ERC-721).
• Experience with smart contract testing frameworks (e.g., Hardhat, Truffle) and security analysis tools.
• Proficiency in one or more general-purpose programming languages (e.g., JavaScript, Python, Go).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical challenges in a remote setting.
