Electrical Engineer - Telecommunications

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical systems for telecommunications sites, including power, grounding, and lightning protection.
• Specify and select electrical equipment such as generators, UPS systems, power distribution units, and associated cabling.
• Perform site surveys and technical assessments for new installations and upgrades.
• Ensure electrical designs comply with relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and client specifications.
• Collaborate with civil engineers, project managers, and field technicians to oversee installation and commissioning.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues impacting network reliability and performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 3-5 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on telecommunications infrastructure .
• Knowledge of power systems, grounding, and protection for communication facilities.
• Familiarity with relevant standards for telecommunications installations (e.g., BICSI).
• Experience with site planning, electrical load calculations, and equipment specification.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
