About the Role

Our client is looking for a highly vigilant and skilled Air Traffic Controller to manage air traffic safely and efficiently at their facility in George . In this critical position, you will be responsible for directing aircraft movements on the ground and in the air, ensuring the separation of traffic to prevent collisions and maintain an orderly flow. This role demands exceptional concentration, quick decision-making abilities, and effective communication under pressure. You will play a vital part in the safety and success of aviation operations in the Garden Route region, contributing to a team dedicated to upholding the highest standards of aviation safety and operational integrity.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and control air traffic within designated airspace using radar, communication systems, and visual observation.
• Issue landing and takeoff clearances, advisories, and instructions to pilots.
• Manage ground movements of aircraft and vehicles on the aerodrome.
• Communicate effectively with pilots, other controllers, and operational personnel.
• Respond promptly and decisively to emergencies and unusual situations.
• Maintain accurate logs and records of air traffic activities.

Requirements

• A valid Air Traffic Controller license and ratings from SACAA.
• Proven experience in a comparable air traffic control environment.
• Excellent communication and decision-making skills.
• Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure.
• Thorough knowledge of aviation regulations and procedures.
• Ability to pass rigorous medical and security checks.
