Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate company vehicles for pick-up and delivery of goods according to schedules.


• Plan and navigate the most efficient routes within Pietermaritzburg and surrounding areas.


• Ensure proper loading and unloading of cargo, verifying documentation for accuracy.


• Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any mechanical issues promptly.


• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and ensure all safety regulations are adhered to at all times.


• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries and pickups, acting as a brand ambassador for our client.

Requirements

• Valid Code 10 or C1 Driver's License with a clean driving record.


• Proven experience as a professional driver, preferably in a logistics or delivery environment.


• Good knowledge of Pietermaritzburg and its surrounding road networks.


• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and carrying loads.


• Strong communication skills and the ability to follow instructions effectively.


• Demonstrated reliability and punctuality.
