Industrial Process Design Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Industrial Process Design Engineer to join their fully remote team. Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop new industrial processes and optimize existing ones for improved efficiency, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Create detailed process flow diagrams (PFDs) and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) using specialized software.
• Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for proposed process designs.
• Collaborate virtually with cross-functional teams, including operations, engineering, and project management, to integrate process designs.
• Specify equipment requirements and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve process-related issues during the design and implementation phases.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering , Industrial Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in industrial process design and optimization.
• Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS) and CAD tools.
• Strong understanding of chemical engineering principles, thermodynamics, and fluid dynamics.
• Experience with safety design reviews (e.g., HAZOP) is essential.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills for effective remote collaboration.
