About the Role

Our client is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join their operations team based in Tembisa . This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth flow of goods and services, managing the entire lifecycle of logistics operations from planning to execution. You will work closely with drivers, warehouse staff, and external partners to optimize delivery schedules, manage inventory, and resolve any operational bottlenecks. The ideal candidate possesses strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of supply chain dynamics, contributing to the efficient operation of a key transport hub and ensuring timely deliveries to customers across the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule daily delivery routes for a fleet of vehicles, ensuring optimal efficiency and adherence to timelines.
• Liaise with drivers, providing clear instructions, monitoring progress, and addressing any immediate issues.
• Manage and maintain accurate records of shipments, inventory levels, and delivery confirmations.
• Analyze logistics data to identify areas for improvement in route planning, fuel efficiency, and delivery times.
• Facilitate communication between the operations team, warehouse personnel, and customer service representatives.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation regulations and safety standards.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a logistics or supply chain role.
• Proficiency in logistics management software and route planning tools .
• Strong understanding of transportation principles, fleet management , and distribution networks.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively.
• Effective communication and negotiation skills, with experience liaising with drivers and other stakeholders.
• Problem-solving aptitude and the ability to adapt to dynamic operational demands.
