Postdoctoral Researcher - Immunology

About the Role

Our client is actively recruiting a dedicated Postdoctoral Researcher to contribute to pioneering research in Immunology within their state-of-the-art facility in Tembisa . This role focuses on investigating the intricate mechanisms of immune system response to novel pathogens and developing innovative immunotherapies. The successful candidate will work within a collaborative team, contributing to grant writing, experimental design, and the dissemination of findings through publications and presentations. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth research on immune cell function, signaling pathways, and cytokine interactions.
• Design, perform, and analyze complex immunological assays, including flow cytometry and ELISAs.
• Contribute to the development of new immunotherapy strategies and preclinical testing models.
• Collaborate with senior researchers and external partners on interdisciplinary projects.
• Maintain accurate laboratory records and contribute to manuscript preparation and grant applications.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Immunology, Molecular Biology, or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated expertise in immunological techniques and research methodologies.
• Experience with animal models of disease and/or human immunology preferred.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in statistical analysis software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting and presentation purposes.
