Junior Civil Engineer - Site Supervision

About the Role

Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Junior Civil Engineer to join their construction team based in Tembisa . This role focuses on site supervision and project coordination, providing hands-on experience in managing and overseeing various aspects of civil engineering projects on-site. You will work closely with site managers, contractors, and skilled labor to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities

• Assist in supervising daily construction activities, ensuring compliance with project plans and specifications.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and safety compliance.
• Coordinate with contractors and subcontractors to manage schedules and resource allocation.
• Review and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documents.
• Maintain accurate daily site records, including progress reports, material usage, and safety incidents.
• Support the project management team in problem-solving and implementing corrective actions on site.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Up to 3 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on construction or site supervision preferred.
• Eagerness to learn and develop practical engineering skills on-site.
• Familiarity with construction methods, materials, and safety regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
