About the Role
Our client is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Automotive Paint Sprayer to join their reputable collision repair center in East London. This role requires a high level of skill in applying automotive finishes to achieve flawless, factory-quality results. You will be responsible for preparing vehicle surfaces, mixing paints, and applying primer, basecoat, and clearcoat with precision. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for color matching, a strong understanding of paint application techniques, and a commitment to producing high-quality work, contributing to the center's reputation for excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare vehicle surfaces for painting, including sanding, masking, and cleaning.
- Mix paint colors accurately to match existing finishes using color-matching systems.
- Apply primer, basecoat, and clearcoat evenly and consistently using spray guns.
- Inspect painted surfaces for defects such as runs, drips, and uneven coverage.
- Maintain paint booth and equipment, ensuring they are clean and in good working order.
- Adhere to safety procedures and environmental regulations regarding paint usage and disposal.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Automotive Paint Sprayer or Painter.
- Strong knowledge of automotive paint types, application techniques, and color matching.
- Proficiency with various spray guns and painting equipment.
- Ability to work efficiently and produce high-quality finishes.
- Good attention to detail and a commitment to neatness.
- Experience working in a collision repair or automotive body shop environment in East London .
