About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Retail Merchandiser to lead the product presentation strategy for their flagship store in Sandton . This senior role involves developing and implementing effective merchandising plans that maximize product visibility, drive sales, and enhance the overall brand experience. You will be responsible for analyzing sales data, identifying product trends, and creating compelling visual displays that resonate with the target customer. The ideal candidate possesses a strong creative vision, a deep understanding of retail dynamics, and exceptional leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive merchandising strategies aligned with sales objectives and brand identity.
• Analyze sales performance data, market trends, and competitor activity to identify opportunities for product placement and promotion.
• Create visually impactful product displays, floor plans, and store layouts to optimize customer flow and drive sales.
• Collaborate with buying, marketing, and store operations teams to ensure cohesive product presentation across all channels.
• Train and mentor junior merchandising staff, providing guidance on best practices and brand standards.
• Manage the implementation of visual merchandising initiatives, ensuring consistency and quality across the store.

Requirements

• Extensive experience as a Retail Merchandiser , with a proven track record in developing and executing successful merchandising strategies.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends.
• Excellent visual presentation skills and a keen eye for detail and aesthetics.
• Proficiency in retail planning and visualization software is highly desirable.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Merchandising, Marketing, Design, or a related field is preferred.
