Process Improvement Engineer - Agrochemicals

About the Role

Our client, a key player in the agrochemical industry based in Nelspruit , is looking for a dedicated Process Improvement Engineer . This role is focused on enhancing the efficiency, safety, and sustainability of their manufacturing processes. You will identify opportunities for optimization, implement new technologies, and ensure that production meets the highest standards of quality and environmental compliance. Key Responsibilities

• Analyze existing production processes to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, yield, and waste reduction.
• Develop and implement process optimization strategies, including modifications to equipment, operating procedures, and control systems.
• Lead or participate in pilot studies and scale-up activities for process improvements.
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and quality assurance teams to ensure successful implementation and sustainability of improvements.
• Conduct root cause analysis for process deviations and implement corrective actions.
• Stay abreast of new technologies and industry best practices in agrochemical manufacturing.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in process engineering, with a focus on process improvement in a chemical manufacturing environment.
• Proven track record in implementing successful process optimization projects.
• Experience with process modeling and simulation tools is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of chemical manufacturing principles and safety protocols.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration in Nelspruit .
