Construction/Project Manager (Solar PV) – Renewable Industry

Job Description

• RPO Recruitment's client, an established energy solutions firm based in Gauteng is seeking a highly experienced Construction / Project Manager to join their team for an upcoming solar PV plant project in the South of Johannesburg.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the construction and project delivery of a large-scale renewable energy project, ensuring that work is executed safely, efficiently and to the required quality and project standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee construction activities for the upcoming PV/Solar Plant
• Coordinate contractors, subcontractors and project teams
• Monitor project progress, quality, costs and programme
• Ensure construction activities are completed in accordance with project requirements and standards
• Manage project documentation, reporting and stakeholder communication
• Identify and resolve construction and project-related issues
• Ensure compliance with relevant health, safety and quality requirements

Requirements:

• Extensive experience as a Construction Manager / Project Manager within construction or infrastructure projects
• Proven experience in solar PV / renewable energy projects would be highly advantageous
• Pr CM or Pr CPM registration with SACPCMP preferred
• Strong construction and project management experience
• Ability to manage contractors, project teams and project deliverables
• Strong understanding of construction processes, project planning and site execution
• Excellent communication, coordination and stakeholder-management skills
• Ability to work effectively in a project/site-based environment
