Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Analyst

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dynamic Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Analyst to join their strategic finance team in Polokwane . This role is instrumental in providing critical financial insights, driving budgeting and forecasting processes, and supporting long-term strategic planning initiatives. You will work closely with various departments to analyze financial performance, identify trends, and provide recommendations to enhance profitability and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage annual budgets and rolling forecasts, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
• Prepare monthly financial performance reports, including variance analysis against budget and prior periods.
• Conduct in-depth financial modeling and scenario analysis to support business decisions and strategic initiatives.
• Analyze key financial and operational metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Collaborate with business unit leaders to provide financial guidance and support.
• Assist in the preparation of financial presentations for senior management and board meetings.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; relevant professional certification (e.g., CFA, CIMA) is a plus.
• 3-5 years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or a related role.
• Strong financial modeling skills and proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with financial planning software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
