Infant Care Specialist

About the Role

Our client is seeking a compassionate and skilled Infant Care Specialist to provide dedicated care for the youngest members of their early learning center in Rustenburg . This position focuses on creating a secure, nurturing, and stimulating environment that supports the unique developmental needs of infants from birth to approximately 18 months. You will be instrumental in establishing routines, fostering attachment, and ensuring the safety and well-being of each child. This role is critical for building a strong foundation for lifelong learning and development in the North West province, working with a team committed to excellence in childcare.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide attentive and responsive care to infants, meeting their individual needs for feeding, sleeping, and comfort.
• Implement age-appropriate sensory and motor activities to stimulate infant development.
• Ensure a safe, clean, and hygienic environment, adhering strictly to health and safety standards.
• Monitor infants' health and development, noting any concerns and communicating promptly with parents and supervisors.
• Establish comforting routines that promote a sense of security and predictability for infants.
• Engage infants in gentle interaction, talking, singing, and playing to support their emotional and cognitive growth.

Requirements

• Previous experience working directly with infants in a professional childcare setting.
• Knowledge of infant development milestones and appropriate care practices.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with babies.
• Ability to maintain a calm and reassuring demeanor.
• Certification in pediatric First Aide and CPR is mandatory.
• Strong understanding of health, safety, and hygiene protocols for infants.
