Industrial Maintenance Electrician

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Industrial Maintenance Electrician to ensure the optimal functionality and safety of their manufacturing facilities in Klerksdorp . This role is paramount in preventing electrical failures, diagnosing complex issues, and performing precise repairs on all plant electrical systems and equipment. You will be instrumental in maintaining production uptime and adhering to strict electrical safety protocols. We are looking for a proactive individual with extensive experience in industrial environments, capable of working independently and as part of a dedicated maintenance team, contributing to operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, maintain, and repair electrical systems, control panels, motors, and power distribution equipment in an industrial setting.
• Troubleshoot electrical problems using diagnostic equipment and technical expertise.
• Interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to guide work.
• Implement preventative maintenance schedules to minimize equipment downtime.
• Ensure all electrical work complies with national and local electrical codes and safety regulations.
• Respond to emergency electrical issues and perform necessary repairs efficiently.

Requirements

• Qualified Industrial Electrician with recognized trade certification.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial electrical maintenance.
• Proficiency with industrial electrical controls, PLCs, VFDs, and low/medium voltage systems.
• Strong understanding of electrical safety standards and procedures.
• Ability to read and work from complex electrical blueprints and schematics.
• Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving capabilities.
