About the Role

Our client seeks a specialized Stress Analysis Engineer to enhance their engineering capabilities in Paarl . This role is crucial for ensuring the structural integrity and safety of components and systems under various loading conditions. You will utilize advanced simulation techniques and analytical methods to predict and assess stress, strain, and deformation, providing critical insights to the design process. Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed stress analysis , fatigue analysis, and fracture mechanics calculations using FEA software.
• Interpret simulation results and provide clear, actionable recommendations to design engineers.
• Develop and validate analysis models, ensuring accuracy and correlation with test data where available.
• Collaborate with design teams to optimize component geometry and material selection for structural performance.
• Stay current with the latest advancements in finite element analysis techniques and tools.
• Prepare comprehensive analysis reports documenting methodologies, results, and conclusions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Applied Mechanics.
• 3-5 years of experience in stress analysis and structural simulation.
• Proficiency with FEA software such as ANSYS, Abaqus, or similar.
• Solid understanding of mechanics of materials, elasticity, plasticity, and vibration theory.
• Experience with testing and validation of mechanical components is a plus.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
