About the Role

Our client, an independent automotive repair shop in Nelspruit , is seeking a skilled and reliable Automotive Mechanic . This position involves performing a wide range of general repairs and maintenance services on various vehicle makes and models. You will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing quality repairs, and ensuring customer vehicles are returned in excellent working condition. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical aptitude, a commitment to quality workmanship, and the ability to work efficiently in a busy workshop environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance services, including oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks.
• Diagnose and repair a variety of automotive issues, including engine, transmission, brake, and suspension problems.
• Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify potential future repair needs.
• Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to accurately pinpoint mechanical and electrical faults.
• Ensure all repairs are completed according to manufacturer specifications and industry best practices.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace and manage tools effectively.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Automotive Mechanic or technician.
• Solid understanding of automotive systems and diagnostic procedures.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and automotive diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently, managing multiple repair tasks.
• Good problem-solving skills and a commitment to quality repairs.
