Senior HSE Advisor

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior HSE Advisor to support their operations in the Stellenbosch area. This role plays a vital part in ensuring a safe and healthy working environment across all company activities within the Oil & Gas sector. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring HSE policies and procedures, conducting risk assessments, and promoting a strong safety culture. This position offers a chance to make a significant impact on operational safety, working in a hybrid model that balances workplace collaboration with remote flexibility.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the company's Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) management system.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Investigate HSE incidents, near misses, and non-compliance issues, recommending corrective actions.
• Develop and deliver HSE training programs to employees and contractors.
• Advise management on HSE matters and contribute to the continuous improvement of safety performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in an HSE role, preferably within the Oil & Gas industry.
• In-depth knowledge of South African HSE legislation and industry best practices.
• Experience with risk assessment methodologies and incident investigation techniques.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
