About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Industrial Engineering Specialist to join their operations in Rustenburg . This role is crucial for enhancing the efficiency and productivity of manufacturing and operational processes. You will be responsible for evaluating existing systems, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing effective solutions to optimize workflow, reduce waste, and improve quality. Working directly with on‑site teams, this position requires a hands‑on approach and a deep understanding of industrial engineering principles. The goal is to drive significant operational enhancements and contribute to the company's sustained success through strategic process redesign and execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage industrial engineering projects focused on process improvement and operational efficiency.
• Apply lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to reduce waste, improve quality, and increase throughput.
• Conduct detailed analyses of workflows, production lines, and facility layouts to identify opportunities for optimization.
• Develop and maintain operational metrics and performance dashboards to track progress and ensure continuous improvement.
• Collaborate closely with production managers, engineers, and frontline staff to ensure successful implementation of changes.
• Create and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) and training materials for optimized processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a closely related field.
• 3-5 years of professional experience in industrial engineering or process improvement.
• Demonstrated experience with lean manufacturing tools, Kaizen events, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Strong analytical skills, including data analysis, root cause analysis, and problem-solving.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in relevant software, such as CAD, simulation tools, and ERP systems.
