About the Role
Our client is searching for a dedicated Pediatric Childcare Coordinator to enhance their childcare services in Pretoria . This role focuses on ensuring the highest quality of care and developmental support specifically for infants and toddlers within their facility. You will lead a team specializing in early childhood, manage the implementation of specialized programs, and liaise closely with parents to provide tailored support. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of pediatric development and a passion for creating a nurturing, stimulating environment that caters to the unique needs of the youngest learners. This position offers a blend of hands-on engagement and supervisory responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate specialized childcare programs for infants and toddlers, ensuring developmental appropriateness.
- Train and mentor staff on best practices in pediatric care and early childhood development.
- Develop and implement age-specific activities and routines that promote physical, cognitive, and emotional growth.
- Maintain a safe, hygienic, and stimulating environment conducive to the needs of very young children.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's development, health, and daily experiences.
- Monitor the overall well-being and developmental progress of children under your supervision.
Requirements
- Significant experience (3-5 years) in pediatric childcare or early childhood education, with a focus on infant and toddler care.
- Relevant qualifications in Early Childhood Development, with a specialization or extensive coursework in pediatric care.
- Strong knowledge of infant and toddler development milestones and age-appropriate learning methodologies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to manage staff and engage with families.
- Ability to adapt and implement flexible approaches to meet the diverse needs of young children.
- Certification in pediatric First Aid and CPR is essential.
