Financial Analyst - Pipeline

The Financial Analyst will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of inventory-related financial records across the ERP and WMS systems. The role will focus on inventory analysis, variance reporting, master data management, gross profit reporting and forecasting, as well as supporting and managing key system integrations.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of inventory principles, excellent analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail.

Duties & Responsibilities

Inventory Management and Analysis

• Maintain and manage inventory master records on the ERP system.
• Review inventory transactions to ensure the accuracy and integrity of inventory records.
• Maintain and update the inventory master file, including the addition of new inventory items.
• Review inventory processing, allocations and related transactions.
• Plan and coordinate inventory counts.
• Analyse and report on inventory count variances and investigate discrepancies where required.
• Update and maintain inventory pricing on the ERP system.

Financial Reporting and Reconciliations

• Review inventory-related journals and manufacturing transactions processed through the ERP and WMS systems.
• Perform reconciliations for third-party suppliers and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare monthly Gross Profit (GP) matrix reports reflecting actual results.
• Assist with Gross Profit forecasting and target reporting.

Systems and Integrations

• Manage and monitor the Stock2Shop integration with the ERP system.
• Support and manage integrations between Point-of-Sale (POS) systems and the ERP system.
• Monitor system transactions and integrations to ensure accurate and complete data processing.

Requirements

• Matric / Grade 12.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.
• Experience using Sage 200 Evolution or a similar ERP system.
• A sound understanding of inventory concepts, principles and processes.
• Experience working with inventory transactions, reconciliations and variance reporting will be advantageous.
• Experience working with ERP and/or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) will be advantageous.
