Senior Business Analyst - Banking Systems

About the Role

Our client, a leading financial services provider in East London , seeks a highly experienced Senior Business Analyst to join their technology and operations division. This role is crucial for bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions within their banking systems . You will be responsible for gathering requirements, analyzing business processes, defining system specifications, and ensuring the successful implementation of technology projects that drive business value. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to influence critical system enhancements and contribute to the strategic direction of the firm within the Eastern Cape .

Key Responsibilities

• Elicit, analyze, document, and validate detailed business requirements for banking system enhancements and new functionalities.
• Translate business needs into clear and concise functional specifications, user stories, and process flows.
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders across business units, IT, and third-party vendors to ensure alignment.
• Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather requirements and validate solutions.
• Support the testing phases (UAT) and ensure that implemented solutions meet business objectives.
• Provide subject matter expertise on banking processes and systems to project teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with a strong focus on banking and financial services systems.
• Proven experience in requirements elicitation, documentation, and process mapping.
• Good understanding of core banking functions (e.g., account management, payments, loans).
• Experience with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence) is highly desirable.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a hybrid model in East London .
