About the Role

Our client is looking for a proactive and knowledgeable Legal Compliance Officer to join their team in Nelspruit . This hybrid role is central to ensuring the company adheres to all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring compliance programs, conducting risk assessments, and providing guidance to staff. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and is adept at fostering a culture of compliance, balancing remote work flexibility with the need for essential office-based collaboration and oversight.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement effective compliance programs and policies across the organization.
• Conduct regular compliance audits and risk assessments to identify potential areas of non-compliance.
• Monitor changes in relevant legislation and regulations and advise on necessary adjustments.
• Investigate compliance concerns and breaches, recommending and implementing corrective actions.
• Provide training and guidance to employees on compliance requirements and ethical conduct.

Requirements

• Relevant degree in Law, Business, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in a legal compliance or related role.
• Strong knowledge of South African regulatory and legal frameworks.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience with compliance management systems and hybrid work environments.
