About the Role
Our client is looking for a skilled Aircraft Avionics Technician to join their maintenance team in Pretoria . This role focuses on the installation, inspection, testing, and repair of complex aircraft electronic systems. You will work on a variety of aircraft, ensuring that all avionics equipment functions correctly and meets stringent safety and performance standards. Key Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, test, and repair aircraft avionics equipment, including navigation, communication, and flight control systems.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose avionics system malfunctions using specialized test equipment.
- Interpret aircraft technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics to perform maintenance tasks.
- Perform functional checks and calibrations on avionics components to ensure optimal performance.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and document all repairs and modifications.
- Ensure all work complies with South African Civil Aviation Authority regulations and company standards.
Requirements
- Trade qualification as an Aircraft Avionics Technician or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working with aircraft avionics systems.
- Proficiency with avionics test equipment and diagnostic tools.
- Solid understanding of flight instruments, communication systems, and navigation aids.
- Ability to read and understand complex technical documentation and blueprints.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and a keen eye for detail.
