About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and analytical Inventory Control Specialist to join their logistics team in Pretoria . This role is critical for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of inventory data, ensuring optimal stock levels, and minimizing discrepancies. You will be responsible for implementing and managing inventory control procedures, conducting regular audits, and working closely with warehouse and procurement teams to resolve any stock-related issues. Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records using the company's inventory management system.
• Conduct cycle counts and physical inventory audits to verify stock levels and identify discrepancies.
• Investigate and resolve inventory variances, including overages, shortages, and damaged goods.
• Develop and implement inventory control procedures to improve accuracy and efficiency.
• Analyze inventory data to identify trends, forecast needs, and recommend adjustments to stock levels.
• Collaborate with procurement and warehouse teams to ensure smooth material flow and prevent stockouts or overstock situations.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or in a similar inventory management role.
• Strong knowledge of inventory management principles and warehouse operations .
• Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to conduct thorough investigations and implement corrective actions.
