About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and skilled Field Service Technician to join their dynamic team in Midrand, Gauteng . In this critical role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of various technical equipment and systems, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction. You will work independently or as part of a team, traveling to client sites to provide essential on-site support. This position is ideal for a proactive individual with a strong mechanical aptitude and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship in a field-based capacity, contributing directly to the company's operational success and client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform on-site installations of equipment according to technical specifications and company standards.
• Conduct routine preventative maintenance checks and diagnostic procedures.
• Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning equipment, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
• Respond to service calls and emergency repair requests in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs, and inventory of parts used.
• Collaborate with the technical support team to resolve complex issues.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Field Service Technician or in a similar technical role.
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record for travel to client sites.
