About the Role

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Aircraft Cabin Mechanic to join their maintenance team in Soweto . This role focuses on the upkeep and repair of interior aircraft components, ensuring passenger comfort, safety, and adherence to cabin standards. You will be involved in tasks ranging from repairing seats and galleys to maintaining in-flight entertainment systems and emergency equipment. This is a unique opportunity for a hands-on individual to contribute to the passenger experience and operational integrity of aircraft within a dedicated aviation maintenance facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, repair, and modify aircraft interior components, including seats, galleys, lavatories, overhead bins, and carpets.
• Troubleshoot and repair issues related to in-flight entertainment (IFE) systems, cabin lighting, and electrical fixtures.
• Ensure all cabin modifications and repairs comply with cabin safety regulations and design specifications.
• Work with various cabin materials, including fabrics, plastics, composites, and soft furnishings.
• Assist with the installation of new cabin interior components and equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of all cabin maintenance performed and parts used.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Aircraft Cabin Mechanic or in a related interior maintenance role.
• Experience with aircraft interior components, materials, and systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair cabin electrical and mechanical systems.
• Familiarity with cabin safety regulations and standards is essential.
• Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail in performing repairs and installations.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a maintenance team.
