We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join a technically driven engineering team based in Pretoria. This is a hands-on technical leadership role requiring strong electrical design expertise, automation and control experience, as well as the ability to lead engineering teams and deliver projects from concept through to completion
POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities Lead and manage electrical engineering and design teams, providing technical direction and mentorship. Take hands-on responsibility for electrical engineering and design across the full project lifecycle. Develop and review electrical designs, control systems and instrumentation solutions. Work with PLC and SCADA systems , including the design and integration of automation and control solutions. Provide technical leadership on Electrical, Control & Instrumentation (EC&I) projects. Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, clients and other stakeholders. Resolve technical and design challenges throughout project execution. Lead commissioning activities and ensure successful project completion and handover. Ensure engineering deliverables meet required technical, quality and compliance standards. Minimum Requirements B.Eng. \/ BSc in Electrical Engineering . ECSA Registered Professional Engineer (Pr.Eng.) . Strong hands-on experience in Electrical Engineering and Design . Experience with PLC, SCADA, Electrical and Control & Instrumentation (EC&I) systems. Proven experience leading electrical engineering\/design teams. Strong leadership, communication and people-management skills. Experience taking ownership of projects from design through to commissioning and final handover . Based in Pretoria and willing to travel as required . Key Requirements Hands-on design experience and proven expertise in leading electrical design from project inception and concept development, through detailed design, PLC\/SCADA and control & instrumentation integration, commissioning and complete project handover. We are looking for an engineer who remains technically hands-on , while having the leadership ability to guide a team, engage with clients and drive projects through to successful completion.
