Junior Assistant Management Couple

SUMMARY:
A four-star luxury safari lodge on the banks of the Olifants River in the Greater Kruger is seeking a FIELD GUIDE & FRONT OF HOUSE COUPLE to join their team.

POSITION INFO:
This dual role suits a couple who can bring together bush expertise and warm, polished hospitality, one leading guests through Big Five game drives and bush walks, the other anchoring the guest experience front of house.

Role 1 | Field Guide:

Core Criteria:

• FGASA qualification
• Valid PrDP
• Proven experience guiding in a Big Five reserve
• Strong tracking, bush knowledge, and interpretive guiding skills
• Excellent guest interaction and storytelling ability

Candidate Responsibilities:

• Conduct game drives and bush walks for guests
• Ensure guest safety at all times in the field
• Maintain and check guiding vehicles, weapons, and equipment
• Build rapport with guests and deliver an engaging, educational safari experience
• Assist with airstrip transfers and guest logistics as needed
• Support conservation and reserve management initiatives where required

Role 2 | Front of House

Core Criteria:

• Previous experience in a similar front-of-house or hospitality role, ideally within a lodge or high-end hospitality setting
• Strong guest relations and hosting ability
• Comfortable managing check-ins, dining service, and daily guest coordination
• Well organised with good attention to detail
• Well presented and professional demeanour

Candidate Responsibilities:

• Welcome and host guests from check-in through to departure
• Oversee dining service and coordinate meal timings with the kitchen
• Manage guest requests, special occasions, and day-to-day front-of-house operations
• Liaise with reservations and guiding teams to keep the guest journey seamless
• Handle guest queries and resolve any concerns promptly
• Maintain lodge presentation standards in public areas
