About the Role
Our client is searching for an experienced and dynamic Fundraising Manager to lead their fundraising efforts in the vibrant city of Cape Town . This position plays a crucial role in securing the financial resources necessary to sustain and expand our client's impactful charitable programs. You will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive fundraising strategies, cultivating donor relationships, and leading a dedicated team. This hybrid role offers the flexibility to work both remotely and from our Cape Town office, fostering collaboration and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a diversified fundraising strategy across various channels, including individual giving, corporate partnerships, and grants.
- Cultivate and manage relationships with major donors, foundations, and corporate sponsors, ensuring consistent engagement and support.
- Lead, mentor, and inspire the fundraising team, setting clear goals and fostering a performance-driven culture.
- Oversee the planning and execution of fundraising events, both virtual and in-person.
- Prepare compelling funding proposals, reports, and presentations for potential and existing donors.
- Monitor fundraising performance against targets and provide regular updates to senior management.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in fundraising, with a proven track record of success in the charitable sector .
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement successful fundraising strategies.
- Exceptional relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Experience managing fundraising databases and CRM systems.
- Strong leadership qualities and experience managing a team.
