Quality Assurance Manager - Pharmaceutical Manufacturing

About the Role

Our client is looking for a seasoned and proactive Quality Assurance Manager to lead their quality operations in Pretoria. You will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a robust quality management system that ensures compliance with all relevant pharmaceutical manufacturing standards and regulatory requirements. This leadership position is crucial for upholding the integrity and safety of our client's products, ensuring excellence in every aspect of their operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage the company's Quality Management System (QMS).
• Oversee all quality control and quality assurance activities within the manufacturing facility.
• Conduct internal audits and host external regulatory inspections and customer audits.
• Manage deviation investigations, CAPA implementation, and change control processes.
• Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and other relevant industry standards.
• Train and mentor QA/QC staff, fostering a strong quality culture throughout the organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in Quality Assurance within the pharmaceutical industry, with at least 3 years in a management role.
• In-depth knowledge of GMP, ISO standards, and regulatory requirements (e.g., SAHPRA).
• Proven experience in developing and maintaining QMS, conducting audits, and managing regulatory inspections.
• Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
