Data Scientist - AI Specialization

About the Role

Our client is seeking a talented and analytical Data Scientist with a specialization in AI to join their team in Mossel Bay . You will be responsible for leveraging data to uncover insights, build predictive models, and develop AI-driven solutions that enhance business performance. This role involves working with complex datasets, applying advanced statistical techniques and machine learning algorithms, and communicating findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You will be a key contributor to our client's data science efforts, driving innovation and providing data-backed recommendations to shape strategic decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Explore, clean, and analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
• Develop, test, and deploy machine learning models and AI algorithms for predictive and prescriptive analytics.
• Design and implement experiments to validate hypotheses and measure the impact of AI solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business challenges and translate them into data science problems.

Requirements

• Master's or Ph.D. in Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, and relevant data science libraries.
• Hands-on experience with machine learning algorithms, statistical modeling, and AI concepts.
• Experience working with databases (SQL/NoSQL) and data manipulation tools.
• Familiarity with big data technologies and cloud platforms is a plus.
