Continuous Improvement Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking an enthusiastic Continuous Improvement Engineer to join their team in Polokwane . This role is central to driving ongoing enhancements in operational efficiency, product quality, and cost reduction across all facets of the business. You will be responsible for implementing and leading lean manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives, empowering teams to identify and solve problems, and fostering a culture of constant improvement. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate Kaizen events and continuous improvement projects across various departments.
• Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to sustain process improvements.
• Train and mentor employees at all levels on lean methodologies and problem-solving techniques.
• Analyze process performance data to identify root causes of issues and implement effective corrective actions.
• Support the development and implementation of visual management systems and performance dashboards.
• Identify opportunities for waste reduction, cycle time improvement, and cost savings.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 3-5 years of experience in a continuous improvement or lean manufacturing role.
• Proven experience with lean tools such as Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Kanban, and SMED.
• Six Sigma Green Belt certification is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent facilitation, communication, and change management skills.
