About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Telecoms Field Engineer to join their distributed team, supporting operations remotely. This role is critical for ensuring the successful deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting of telecommunications infrastructure across various sites. You will leverage your expertise to provide remote support, guide on-site technicians, and resolve complex technical issues. Key Responsibilities

• Provide remote expert-level technical support for the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of telecom equipment and systems.
• Diagnose and resolve complex network and system issues escalated from field technicians or monitoring systems.
• Develop detailed remote troubleshooting guides and procedures for field teams to follow.
• Conduct remote performance analysis and capacity planning for network infrastructure.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to implement network upgrades and changes efficiently.
• Ensure all technical activities comply with safety standards and company policies, even when performed remotely.

Requirements

• A technical diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related discipline.
• Over 6 years of hands-on experience in field engineering within the telecommunications sector.
• Proficiency with a variety of telecom hardware, including fiber optic systems, base stations, and transmission equipment.
• Strong understanding of network protocols and diagnostic tools.
• Excellent remote troubleshooting skills and the ability to guide technical personnel effectively from a distance.
• Must possess strong communication skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a remote capacity.
