About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for various building and infrastructure projects, including foundations, beams, columns, and slabs.
• Develop detailed structural drawings, calculations, and specifications using advanced engineering software.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant national and international building codes, standards, and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with architects and other engineering disciplines to integrate structural elements seamlessly into overall project designs.
• Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and ensure adherence to design specifications and quality standards.
• Review shop drawings and respond to contractor queries related to structural aspects of the project.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Structural Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural design and analysis.
• Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) or ECSA registration is highly advantageous.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software such as SAP2000, ETABS, SAFE, or similar.
• Strong understanding of material properties, construction methods, and building codes.
• Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment in Tembisa .
