About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and thorough IT Security Auditor to join their team in Paarl. This role is essential for assessing the effectiveness of the organization's IT security controls, ensuring compliance with policies, standards, and regulations. You will conduct audits, identify gaps, and recommend improvements to strengthen the overall security posture. Key Responsibilities

• Plan and execute IT security audits across various systems, applications, and infrastructure.
• Evaluate the design and operational effectiveness of internal controls related to information security.
• Identify security vulnerabilities, non-compliance issues, and risks through audit procedures.
• Prepare detailed audit reports, including findings, recommendations, and proposed remediation plans.
• Follow up on audit recommendations to ensure timely and effective implementation of corrective actions.
• Stay current with IT audit best practices, regulatory requirements, and emerging security threats.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in IT auditing, cybersecurity, or risk management.
• Strong understanding of IT control frameworks (e.g., COBIT, ISO 27001, NIST).
• Knowledge of common IT security risks, vulnerabilities, and audit methodologies.
• Experience with data analysis and evidence gathering techniques.
• Excellent report writing and communication skills, with attention to detail.
