About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated Civil Engineer to join their dynamic team in George , Western Cape. Key Responsibilities
- Design and plan civil engineering projects, including roadworks, drainage systems, and site development.
- Conduct site inspections and surveys to gather data and assess project conditions.
- Prepare technical reports, drawings, and specifications for tender and construction purposes.
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and local authorities to ensure project execution aligns with design intent.
- Monitor construction progress and quality control on-site, providing engineering support as needed.
- Manage project documentation and ensure compliance with all relevant engineering codes and standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in civil infrastructure design and/or construction.
- Proficiency in relevant engineering software packages (e.g., "AutoCAD, Civil 3D").
- Experience with local municipal regulations and building codes in the Western Cape.
- Strong understanding of project management principles and site supervision.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective team and stakeholder engagement.
