About the Role

Our client seeks an experienced and innovative Senior Aircraft Systems Engineer to join their dynamic team in Centurion . This role is crucial for the design, integration, and testing of complex aircraft systems, contributing to the development of next-generation aviation technology. You will lead engineering efforts, provide technical expertise, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless operation and optimal performance of all aircraft systems. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and integration of avionic, electrical, and mechanical systems for aircraft.
• Perform system requirements analysis, architecture design, and detailed component specification.
• Conduct system testing, verification, and validation activities, ensuring compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
• Troubleshoot complex system issues, identify root causes, and implement effective engineering solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance throughout the product lifecycle.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, flight test, and customer support teams to address system-related challenges.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, or a related Engineering field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in aircraft systems engineering or a closely related aerospace discipline.
• Deep understanding of aircraft systems, including avionics, power distribution, flight controls, and environmental systems.
• Proficiency in systems engineering methodologies, tools (e.g., DOORS, MATLAB/Simulink), and simulation software.
• Experience with regulatory requirements and certification processes (e.g., SACAA, EASA, FAA).
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and project management skills.
