About the Role

Our client, a dynamic corporate entity in Polokwane , seeks a highly experienced Senior Mergers & Acquisitions Lawyer . This role is central to advising on and executing complex M&A transactions, playing a critical part in the company's growth strategy. You will manage deal processes from inception to completion, including due diligence, negotiation, and drafting of transaction agreements. This is a significant opportunity for a seasoned M&A professional to lead critical deals and contribute to strategic corporate development within the Limpopo region, in a hybrid work setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all aspects of M&A transactions, including deal structuring, due diligence, and negotiation.
• Draft, review, and finalize share purchase agreements, asset purchase agreements, and other transaction documents.
• Advise the business on legal and regulatory requirements related to mergers, acquisitions, and disposals.
• Coordinate with internal and external legal teams, financial advisors, and other stakeholders.
• Conduct legal research and provide strategic advice on M&A opportunities and risks.
• Ensure compliance with corporate law and relevant regulatory frameworks.

Requirements

• Admitted attorney with a minimum of 10 years of experience, with a significant focus on M&A.
• Proven track record of successfully managing and closing complex M&A deals.
• Strong understanding of corporate law, contract law, and securities regulations.
• Excellent negotiation, drafting, and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple high-value transactions simultaneously.
• Admission to the Polokwane High Court.
