About the Role

Our client seeks a skilled and strategic Fleet Manager to oversee their transportation fleet operations based in Klerksdorp. This role involves managing all aspects of the fleet, including maintenance, scheduling, compliance, and cost-effectiveness. You will ensure that all vehicles are safe, operational, and utilized efficiently to meet business demands. This is a key position responsible for maintaining a high standard of performance across the company's logistics and delivery network, requiring strong leadership and a deep understanding of fleet management principles. The ideal candidate will drive initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day management of the company's vehicle fleet, including maintenance schedules and repairs.
• Ensure all vehicles comply with relevant road safety regulations and legal requirements.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize fleet utilization and minimize downtime.
• Manage fuel consumption and costs, implementing fuel efficiency programs.
• Source and manage relationships with vehicle suppliers and maintenance providers.
• Track vehicle performance and driver behavior to ensure safety and efficiency standards are met.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Fleet Manager or in a similar role managing commercial vehicles.
• Strong knowledge of fleet maintenance, regulatory compliance, and logistics operations.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in fleet management software and reporting tools.
• Ability to manage budgets and control operational costs effectively.
