Remote Embedded Systems Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a talented Remote Embedded Systems Engineer to design, develop, and test firmware for their cutting-edge electronic products. Working entirely from home, you will be integral to the embedded software development lifecycle, collaborating with a distributed team of hardware engineers, software developers, and project managers. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and debug firmware for microcontrollers and embedded systems using C/C++.
• Implement and optimize real-time operating systems (RTOS) and device drivers.
• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for embedded software modules and systems.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers to define system architecture and component selection.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex embedded software and hardware integration issues.
• Participate in code reviews, documentation, and contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in embedded systems development and firmware engineering.
• Strong proficiency in embedded C/C++ programming and debugging tools.
• Experience with microcontrollers (e.g., ARM Cortex-M) and embedded Linux.
• Familiarity with communication protocols like I2C, SPI, UART, and CAN.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a remote, collaborative environment .
