About the Role

Our client is seeking a seasoned Senior Operations Manager with extensive experience in Distribution and Logistics to lead their remote operations. This role is pivotal in optimizing distribution networks, streamlining warehouse operations, and ensuring the efficient movement of goods across various regions. As a fully remote position, you will leverage advanced digital tools and communication platforms to manage geographically dispersed teams and facilities. Your strategic oversight will be critical in driving operational excellence, cost reduction, and enhancing the overall supply chain performance for our client's distribution channels.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all aspects of distribution operations, including warehouse management, inventory control, and transportation logistics.
• Develop and implement innovative strategies to optimize distribution efficiency, reduce lead times, and lower operational costs.
• Oversee a remote team of distribution center managers and staff, fostering a high-performance and collaborative virtual environment.
• Analyze operational data to identify bottlenecks, trends, and opportunities for continuous improvement in the supply chain.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, regulatory, and quality standards across all distribution facilities.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in distribution and logistics management, with a focus on operations.
• Demonstrated success in managing large-scale distribution networks and remote teams.
• Strong analytical skills and experience with supply chain optimization techniques.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and strategic planning abilities.
• Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS), transportation management systems (TMS), and ERP software.
