About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Distributed Generation Specialist to join their remote team, driving the integration of smaller-scale energy generation systems into the grid. This role is critical for expanding the adoption of renewables, such as solar PV and small wind turbines, and managing their impact on the local distribution network. You will work remotely, providing technical expertise and strategic guidance to facilitate the seamless connection and operation of distributed energy resources across various regions. Key Responsibilities

• Develop strategies and technical guidelines for the interconnection of distributed generation (DG) systems.
• Perform technical assessments of DG projects to ensure compliance with grid codes and safety standards.
• Analyze the impact of DG on distribution network performance, including voltage stability and power quality.
• Collaborate with utilities, developers, and regulatory bodies on DG integration policies and procedures.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for DG connection and operation issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in the energy sector , with a focus on distributed generation , microgrids, or power systems.
• Strong understanding of solar PV systems, battery storage, and other renewable energy technologies.
• Proficiency in power system analysis tools and familiarity with DG interconnection standards.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working with utility distribution systems and regulatory frameworks.
