About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and proactive Financial Compliance Officer to join their team in Pretoria. This critical role ensures that all financial operations adhere strictly to local and international regulations, industry standards, and internal policies. You will be instrumental in maintaining the integrity and reputation of the organization within the highly regulated banking and finance industry. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain robust compliance programs and policies.
• Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify potential areas of non-compliance.
• Investigate compliance issues, conduct internal investigations, and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure adherence to regulations such as KYC (Know Your Customer), AML (Anti-Money Laundering), and data privacy laws.
• Prepare and submit regulatory filings and reports in a timely and accurate manner.
• Provide training and guidance to staff on compliance matters and best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial compliance, regulatory affairs, or audit within the financial services sector . Thorough knowledge of relevant financial regulations, laws, and industry best practices.
• Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
• High level of integrity and ethical conduct.
